It gives you up to a 3-mile range with a clear line of sight, with 22 channels and 99 sub-channels so you can find a clear frequency and coordinate with your group. Run it push-to-talk when you want control, or switch on the voice-activated (VOX) mode and it transmits when you speak — fully hands-free. A wind-proof microphone keeps your voice clean in moving air, and an LCD screen with tactile rubber buttons lets you change channels by feel.
