Description

QD Sling Attachment Point — Push Button Quick Detach Swivel

This is the QD sling attachment point that connects your sling to any standard quick-detach socket — a push-button quick detach swivel that snaps in, holds tight, and pops off with a press when you want it off. It fits 1-1/4″ sling webbing and works with standard QD cups and sockets on stocks, rails, and mounts. Made in the USA, pull-tested to over 450 pounds, and sold as a single so you buy exactly what you need instead of a pack you don’t.

The release button is recessed — it sits flush with the body instead of standing proud. That’s the detail that matters: a flush button doesn’t catch on gear, brush, or a sling when you’re moving, so it won’t release when you don’t want it to. A quick detach swivel with an exposed button is one snag away from dropping your rifle. This one isn’t.

Built to a real spec

These are machined to tight tolerances with a non-reflective manganese phosphate finish, pull-tested to over 450 pounds of tension. The metal loop the sling rides on is properly formed so it doesn’t sway or sit crooked, and the ball bearings are evenly quartered so it locks square into the socket every time. It’s the same or higher quality than the big-name QDs — Magpul included — because it comes off the same kind of US machining a serious swivel should.

Not all QDs are the same — here’s how to tell

We inspect these before they go out, and over the years we’ve shown a lot of customers how to spot a lower-grade QD. The tells are consistent:

  • The metal ring the sling attaches to feels like cheaper, softer metal
  • The metal loop sways too far left or right instead of sitting stable
  • The ball bearings aren’t evenly quartered around the post
  • The ball-bearing placement is off-center or lopsided

Those aren’t cosmetic issues. A QD that releases when it shouldn’t, or wears loose over time, is a safety problem and a good way to lose a rifle. Saving a few dollars on an unbranded import isn’t worth it on the one piece of hardware holding your weapon to your body.

We stand behind them

We don’t machine these ourselves — they come from a US manufacturer we trust — but we still back them with our warranty. If one fails, we make it right. That’s not something you get buying a loose swivel off a marketplace listing.

QD Sling Attachment Point FAQ

What does a QD sling attachment point do?

It connects your sling to a quick-detach socket on your rifle, so you can snap the sling on and pop it off with the press of a button. It’s the hardware that turns a fixed sling setup into a quick-detach one.

How much weight does it hold?

It’s pull-tested to over 450 pounds of tension — far beyond what a rifle and sling put on it in normal use.

Why does the recessed button matter?

The release button sits flush with the body instead of sticking out, so it doesn’t catch on gear, clothing, or brush and release when you don’t want it to. An exposed button is one snag away from dropping your rifle; a recessed one isn’t.

What slings and sockets does it fit?

It fits 1-1/4″ sling webbing and works with standard QD cups and sockets found on most stocks, rails, and sling mounts.

Is it made in the USA?

Yes. It’s made by a US manufacturer we source from, pull-tested to over 450 pounds, with a non-reflective manganese phosphate finish.

Do you sell them singly or in pairs?

Singly. A lot of QDs are only sold in pairs, but if you need one, you shouldn’t have to buy two. Order the exact quantity you need.

How do I know I’m getting a quality QD and not a cheap import?

Check the metal: a lower-grade QD uses softer metal, the sling loop sways too far side to side, and the ball bearings are uneven or off-center. Ours are machined to tight tolerances with evenly quartered bearings so they lock square every time.

What’s the warranty?

Even though we don’t manufacture these ourselves, we back them with our warranty. If one fails, we make it right.
