The HK clip is the universal clip-in sling hook. It goes by a lot of names — HK-style hook, snap hook, sling clip, rifle sling hook, cliphook — but it’s the same job: a fast, secure attachment point that hooks to the sling swivel, ring, or hard loop already on almost any rifle or long gun. If your gun doesn’t have one, you can add one.

Ours doesn’t ship bare. Every HK clip comes with a 2-inch protective shroud that does three things a naked hook can’t:

• Protects the clip and its finish
• Kills the metal-on-metal clang — no more hook rattling against your receiver
• Locks the gate closed so the clasp can’t pop open under load

How it hooks up

Thread your sling or webbing through the 1-inch channel at the rear, then use the clasp up front to hook wherever you need a sling point. No tools, no adapter. It works with almost all slings and almost any long gun.

Black hook, your choice of shroud

The HK hook itself is always black steel — standard. The color option is for the shroud: Black to disappear, or Coyote to match a tan setup.

We build around the HK-style hook because it’s universal and cheaper than a QD receiver, and it drops straight into the mounts most people already run. It clips into our Picatinny sling mount (Magpul RSA) and M-LOK sling mount (Magpul Paraclip), and it’s the same hook that lives on the front of our Bondo Convertible Sling. What is an HK-style clip?
It’s a spring-gate snap hook — the “HK hook” — used as a clip-in sling attachment point. It hooks to a sling swivel, ring, or loop on your rifle so you can attach and detach a sling fast.

Does it fit my rifle?
If your long gun has a sling swivel, ring, or hard loop — or a mount that takes one — the HK clip works. It fits most rifles and almost all slings.

What is the shroud for?
The 2-inch shroud protects the hook, cuts the metal-on-metal noise, and secures the clasp so it stays closed under tension. Most HK hooks are sold without one.

What size webbing does it take?
Thread your sling or webbing through the 1-inch rear channel. It’s sized for standard 1-inch sling webbing.

What color is the hook?
The hook is always black steel. The Black or Coyote color option is for the shroud only.

Will it work with the RSA or M-LOK Paraclip mounts?
Yes. The HK-style hook clips into our Picatinny (Magpul RSA) and M-LOK (Magpul Paraclip) sling mounts, so you may not need to buy anything extra.
