Description
Picatinny Sling Mount — Magpul RSA Rail Sling Attachment
This is the genuine Magpul RSA — a low-profile Picatinny sling mount that gives you a forward sling attachment point anywhere you’ve got 1913 rail. Bolt it into a rail slot and you’ve got a clean, snag-free loop to run your sling from, without adding a bulky mount that blocks your optic or catches on your gear. It’s the simple, proven way to add a front sling point to a rail-equipped rifle.
It mounts to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and sits tight and out of the way. The loop is built to take clip-in style sling attachments, so whatever sling you run, you snap it in and go. Made from precision cast steel with a QPQ salt bath nitride finish, it shrugs off wear and corrosion, and at about 1.3 ounces it adds almost nothing to the rifle. Magpul stress-tests these past 300 pounds — far more than a sling and rifle will ever put on it.
What clips into it
The RSA gives you a loop, and clip-in attachments hook into it. If you’re running our HK-style clip or our Bondo Convertible Sling — which uses an HK-style hook — this is exactly where it connects at the front of the rifle. Put the RSA up front on your rail, run the Bondo’s hook into it, and you’ve got a clean forward mounting point for a two-point or single-point setup. It also works with other clip-in attachments like the Magpul Paraclip.
Low profile, where it matters
The whole point of the RSA is that it disappears. The low-profile design keeps it from obstructing your optic’s sight picture or interfering with how you run the gun, and the rounded loop keeps your sling from snagging on the mount or on other gear. It gives your sling a wide range of motion for easy transitions without fighting you.
Genuine Magpul, and we back it
This is a genuine Magpul RSA (MAG502), made in the USA — the same rail sling attachment running on hard-use rifles everywhere. We don’t machine it ourselves, but we build slings that connect to it, so we know exactly how it fits into a setup, and we back it with our warranty. If one ever fails, we make it right.

Picatinny Sling Mount FAQ
What does the Magpul RSA do?
It’s a Picatinny sling mount — it bolts to a 1913 rail and gives you a forward sling attachment point where there wasn’t one. It provides a loop that clip-in style sling attachments hook into, so you can run a sling off the front of a rail-equipped rifle.
What rail does it fit?
Any standard 1913 Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913). It clamps into a rail slot and holds tight.
What slings and attachments work with it?
Clip-in style attachments — an HK-style hook, the Magpul Paraclip, and similar. Our HK-style clip and our Bondo Convertible Sling both use HK-style hooks that clip right into the RSA loop.
Does it work with a QD swivel?
No — the RSA is a clip-in loop, not a QD socket. If you want a push-button quick-detach setup, you want a QD end plate or a QD sling mount instead. The RSA is for clip-in style slings that hook into the loop.
Will it block my optic or red dot?
No. The RSA is low-profile by design — it sits down out of your sight picture and won’t interfere with your optic or how you run the gun.
How strong is it?
It’s precision cast steel with a QPQ nitride finish, stress-tested by Magpul to over 300 pounds — far more than a rifle and sling put on it in use.
Is it a genuine Magpul part made in the USA?
Yes. It’s a genuine Magpul RSA (MAG502), made in the USA.
What’s the warranty?
It’s a genuine Magpul part, and we back it with our warranty too. If one fails, we make it right.
